Built with a lightweight surf core wrapped in a Paulownia wood laminate exterior, this board delivers a smooth, dampened ride that absorbs energy instead of amplifying it. The Blunt Nose Skimmer also features two additional outside nub fins for extra grip and control. Deep water starts, spins, airs — all require less effort (and are a lot more fun). This wide, speedy, and stable-riding skim board has the feel of a thin profile, sharp rail, pintail traditional skimmer, but has the nose of a wide longboard so you can jump on the throttle quicker, easier, and with more stability. This design opens an entire spectrum of tricks only possible on a skimmer – but with the stability and controlled speed of a traditional surfer.
